Each tea ceremony will feature a different original wagashi (traditional sweet) from four well-known confectioners.




At Uchibori Hiroba
At around 13:10 geisha will be walking around the Shioiri-no-ike tidal pond. Participants are free to take pictures of them.

The 30-minute lecture will also touch upon what each gesture in a tea ceremony means in taditional and modern Japanese culture.

Together with selling anpan (sweet buns) and sandwiches, popular confectioner Toraya Café will also be selling jellies that use traditional ingredients like be sweet bean paste arranged in a contemporary style.


Sweets available at this event include green powdered tea pudding (an original production), monaka ice cream, green tea and azuki red bean ice cream, as well as warm green tea.
At Uchibori Hiroba
The renowned maker of cha-kaiseki (multi-course meal served at tea ceremony) will be selling original lunch box with rolled sushi.
